In 2006, the CEDESOCIAL Foundation created its own publishing house LUNAMAGA in order to publish works that promote central themes of the Foundation, such as gender, equality, social development, sexual and reproductive health and rights, formal and informal education initiatives, educational guides, research group publications, and intellectual works that represent and reference the academic, artistic, literary, and cultural contributions of Barranquilla and the Caribbean region.
The name LUNAMAGA evokes symbolism of the feminine gender. All that is discovered on the path of acquisition of this sensibility likens it to the valuation of the night, which occurs in the silence of rest, a time of gestation and reflection.
MATC... Mujeres a todos costas LOGO (BLANCO)
The periodical “Mujeres … a todo costa” (Women … at all costs), was launched in 1999. It is a platform for women of the Colombian Caribbean to express their views as well as a space to promote the CEDESOCIAL Foundation and its causes.
In 2013, in commemoration of 15 years of service, CEDESOCIAL launched, for the very first time, an agenda with the name of the periodical “Mujeres … a toda costa.” Since 2015, the agenda has become an entrepreneurial project for the Foundation and a showcase for artists and poets from the Colombian Caribbean. Production of our 2017 edition is already underway!
The MATC fund (acronym for “Mujeres … a toda costa”) currently benefits the Cedesocial programmes, projects, and campaigns. We also have the following items for sale in our head office boutique: Workbooks ($12.000), agendas ($25.000), mugs ($12.000), mouse pads ($5.000), Tote bags ($25.000 and $40.000), and calendula lip balm ($7.000 and $10.000).
